Maintenance and daily maintenance of the pleated filter element

The filter element manufacturer teaches you the maintenance precautions of the pleated  filter element:


  1. Open the plastic packaging bag at one end of the socket of the folded filter element, check the O-ring (or gasket), and place the sealed port of the folded filter element correctly in the sealing groove after cleaning.


2. Wet the O-ring (or gasket) with process liquid (such as water).


3. With the plastic packaging bag as protection, hold the end of the filter element close to the socket, and firmly press the filter element into the positioning hole of the housing.


4. Remove the outer packaging plastic bag, cover the seal head, and tighten the lifting ring compression bolts.


5. Open the air release valve on the top of the housing.


6. Open the inlet valve slightly to let the liquid enter the shell.


7. Fill the shell with liquid until the liquid overflows from the bleed valve, then close the bleed valve.


8. Slowly open the downstream outlet valve until it is fully opened.


9. Slowly open the inlet valve completely.


10. Flush the filter element with a flow rate of 250L/ for 5~10 minutes for every 10" filter element.


11. The pleated filter element should not withstand the impact of excessive flow, nor should it be compressed in the opposite direction.


12. If the filter pressure difference is greater than 0.15Mpa, or the flow rate drops significantly, it indicates that the filter element is blocked, loosen the ring compression bolt, open the filter head, take out the filter element and rinse the filter element with clean water below 0.2Mpa pressure Or use dust-free high-pressure air below 0.2Mpa to blow back from the outlet of the filter element.


13. If the pleated filter elements are not in operation temporarily, they should not be dried, but should be stored in the filter housing. Put purified water or water containing antibacterial agents in the housing (such as sodium hypochlorite solution less than 10ppm or 2% hydrogen peroxide Solution) and rinse it off before reuse.
